I had a bidder who never returned an email or sent payment. I applied for the NPBA and then later got my FVF refund. At this point I attempted to give a negative feedback and was blocked from doing so; it seems that I no longer had a transaction to apply a feedback to. I know in the past I was able to neg someone after receiving the FVF refund. When I went back to look at the bidders feedback the bidder was no longer registered. What was interesting was that the bidder had no negatives. It seems that you need to apply that negative before receiving your FVF refund. I can only guess that other sellers must have applied for their FVF and found out they couldn’t neg and my FVF must have been the magical third time. If I had seen some negs on the feedback I wouldn’t have been as patience in applying for my fees. I wonder when ebay made this change.

Possible explanation is that bidder had received 2 NPB alerts and FVFs. Yours was the 3rd, and he was narued at that point. You can't leave feedback for a narued bidder.

As long as I have been selling on eBay once you file and receive your FVF you cannot leave any feed back for your buyer. It isn't the negatives that gets a buyer suspended it is how many sellers filed for the FVF and I think that is 3 in 6 months.

Wrong. You can file for FVF and leave a negative for any bidders as long as they are NOT NARU. Only if the ARE NARU will you not be able to leave feedback.

I have noticed a trend as well on bidders that don't have any negs, but yet when I file a FVF they become NARU. This system needs to change. What should be required for any seller to be able to get a FVF for non-paying bidders is the must leave a negative feedback first, that way warning other sellers of his/her deadbeat ways. Then they would be able to file FVF as usual.

eBay being a venue require nothing from buyers and only payment from sellers. Anyone can do what they want and you read it all the time here on this board. I never leave a negative because of the terrible feedback system that eBay has. When I abide by all the "rules" ebay has in place why should I get a negative because some buyer doesn't like my TOS, S/H, or didn't receive the package because they didn't insure it. Not me and that's what is bad about eBays feedback system. Improve the system and I will leave negative feedback. If I had given negatives it would have only been 3 and the buyers I had were nut cases. All `new to eBay and had very low feedback. Why ruin my reputation because of them. This is my opinion of their feedback system.....

i always leave neg feedback when it is deserved....if I file an NPB, I leave the neg right before I file for FVF...that may be the problem here...maybe you have to leave the neg before the FVF....just a guess.

as a seller, I feel responsible to at least try to give a warning to other sellers...JMHO..if they don't heed it that is their perogative.

I NEVER leave NEGS for deadbeat-hosers & assorted other slimers!

I ALWAYS file NPB & FVF refunds, as THIS is the way to get rid of them.

When feeBay CARES enough about my reputation to fix the fb system, I'll CARE enough about the feeBay "community" (har!dee!harr-har) to leave NEGS!

The only way to get the louts out is with a NPB. I don't understand why people can't understand that negs won't put anyone out. If someone doesn't pay, then give them NPB. They get3 & bye bye.
