I just went to the Bidpay site, and was re-directed to the new site www.auctionpayments.com My question is,I have Bidpay listed as a payment option on my auctions. Should I change the name? Is anyone going to know what I am talking about?
Another Bidpay, I mean Auction Payments question. I had a buyer in U.K. send payment request 10 days ago, and it is still pending. Is that unusual? I have had buyers from all over the world use it, and never had to wait long for the send confirmation message.

I believe that bidpay was sold recently. Still an excellent alternative for International sales.

Amber - I recently had the same problem with delays in approval. You know what they say - the squeeky whhel gets the grease. CALL BIDPAY! their number is 800-350-5952. Give them the order number and explain how long the item has been pending. I did that yesterday and all of my pending orders where approved within 15 minutes.

As was explaineed to me, due to sheer volume and the increase in fraud this season they are having to take additional steps in the verification process which is causing the delays but a little attention and niceties with the CS people will get you pushed to the front of the line.

Glad it's not just me.
I'm waiting for a 2nd email for a bidder from Mexico who wanted to wire transfer and so forth (see my other post)- shipping is $200 and I'm getting very nervous about this whole transaction. Bidpay or whatever it is now is not helping. Can we be as sure with the new company as we are with Bidpay??
I have been emailing for 2 days requesting there phone number and have yet to get a reply - even called information to get it. Thanks fenix - I really need that.

I have been waiting almost a month for a Bidpay money order for an order from Austria.
The buyer is not happy, but not much I can do about it. I will not ship till the money is in my greedy little hand.

Hmmm. I've never had a single problem with BidPay. No matter where the buyer lives, I always receive the money order within 7 days--usually closer to three. I ship immediately upon receipt of the second confirmation email--which usually arrives within an hour of the first one.

Lady - it's the same compnay - Western Union just decided to add their brand name and so changed the name.

JTomp - if you go to the site they clearly tell you to contat them if you have not recieved a payment withing 10 days of approval. You cn log in and request a replacement sent out.

BTW - if you ever lose the number - Call western Union - thats who I got it from : )

Thanks so much for the number Fenix - I called and got my second email within 20 minutes. Is was NOT approved??? So I guess I'm not going Christmas shopping this week. lol
I had a bad feeling and I was right. I just can not image paying the $200.00 shipping out of my pocket this time of year?
They did tell me that the holidays were delaying their turn around time by more than a week or so in some cases.

Fenix: Just wanted to let you know that I called Western Union Auctions and got the confirmation within 20 minutes. I really appreciate the phone #, I know it will be a real help if I have the same problem in the future. This buyer has been waiting 10 days for their money order to be approved, that's too long, a money order directly from England would have been much quicker.

That might not be just a bidpay problem. I have had a few e-check payments come through on PayPal that took nearly three weeks to clear. I was beginning to think that I was missing the e-mail that states that they cleared, but then I go to my PayPal account only to see that they were still pending. It could be a problem with the western union system.

Stone - It's a Bidpay situation and they readily admit it. they are being flooded right now with request which would cause some delays anyway but they are also being flooded with fraudulent credit card requests so they have added a couple extra steps to the approval process. Remember, each one of the requests is manually checked.
