I just received this email, supposedly from PayPal...

PayPal Verification System!

Dear PayPal Member

We are currently performing regular maintenance of our security measures. Your account has been randomly selected for this maintenance, and you will now be taken through a series of identity verification pages.

To complete the verification process as a PayPal Member you must provide us with a debit card issued by your primary checking account. Don't worry, your debit card will not be charged! Protecting the security of your PayPal account is our primary concern, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

You must click the link below and enter your informations on the following page to confirm your identity.

Thank you for using PayPal! The PayPal Team

Please do not reply to this e-mail. Mail sent to this address cannot be answered. For assistance, log in to your PayPal account and choose the "Help" link in the footer of any page.

Protect Your Account Info
Make sure you never provide your password to fraudulent websites.

A genuine PayPal link will always begin with https://www.paypal.com/.

Remember to check your browser's Address/URL Bar to be sure you are on the real PayPal site.

If the URL does not begin with https://www.paypal.com/, you are not on a PayPal page.

PayPal will never ask you to enter your password in an email.

For more information on protecting yourself from fraud, please see the Security Center.

Protect Your Password
You should never give your PayPal password to anyone, including PayPal employees.

Anyone else get it, and/or is it spoof@paypal where I forward it?

Thank you!!

I got it. And yes, PayPal has their own 'spoof team' also, like ebay. its [email protected] I sent it there, and got a response right away that it didn't come from them. I guess? it does help to foward all these to both PayPal and ebay, as they 'say' they are trying to shut these people down, they might be! That would nice
