I am noticing both auctions and my FP listings have very few views, is it just me?

My hits seem to be average.
Sales are up a tad from previous weeks.

That's why I've decided to concentrate more on buying right now and give the selling a break. I'm not in the mood to deal with overly anxious buyers who expect you to send items today so they'll have them by tomorrow. Too much stress this time of year and people just tend to be more demanding and rude. Nope, not me...I gonna wait until after the holidays to start selling again. Maybe now I can get my shopping done.

I'm amazed I'm getting as many sales as I am with so little views. I'm working on my Vendio store redoing that, and I still have a lot of new auctions to do,so the break is nice.

I have found pages hits down as well. What I have noticed is most of my bids are coming from the east. Since the major fires in California, my sales to that area are way down. The good thing is the eastern sales are up. For me the overall sales are about the same as last year.

My last week was so bad I am giving up for the year so is my camera. My battery is dead and I am not going to recharge it until the New Year. Time to relax and enjoy the season. It will be wonderful not to have to go to the postoffice every other day. I don't even go on my computer only a couple of times a day also. It's time to sit back and relax. Have a Happy Holiday Season.

I did a little test to see if listing straight to ebay would make a difference. I listed 5 things without using ca or vendio and so far I have a lot more hits...only 2 have bids so far but the others have double digit hits. Makes you wonder what is going on. One more thing...these items were the same type things as I have listed before so that is not the difference.

That's interesting parkman, but not conclusive. I'm just a small volume seller, and right now I have 11 auctions up - all listed thru Vendio and 8 of them have double digit views. Of course, who knows, maybe if I listed thru ebay the numbers would be even higher.

Most of my sales are Calif. or out west. I notice even the FP listings are not selling until just before they go off. Just about everything I had listed sold, but mostly to one person. Yea, I agree the Big boys are doing great, and it does hurt the rest of us little guys. The only thing is they usually give crappy service on top of the high shipping. If Sears only knew what sorry parts went into their vacuum cleaners, and I would love if they ever visit the factory unannounced, boy would they be shocked!

Hello
Same here. I am closing shop early this year first time since 1998.

I sell philatelic (Stamps) material and the sellers have increased 10 fold. If I have something extra special I can make a buck or two but normal material just don't sell or if it does I am giving it away or worse.

Many stores are not doing well either so wherever this new Boom is I have not seen it.

Kind regards to all......

David

I'll bet at least 25% of the ebay stores close in the next month or two, mostly because the Christmas season will be over. Those ebay stores may become a seasonal type of thing.

Yeah, business was great. Everthing sold. And lots of last minute bidding. But the newbies and loonies are loose and they are driving me crazy. Eg., question for seller about sulfide cow marble..."Does it moo?" It's a glass marble. No it doesn't moo. Sheesh. It was a full moon this week. No more selling until January. I don't need the aggravation.

One thing I *have* noticed is that on the days where there is a lot of bidding activity, it peaks earlier in the morning than it used to.

I can start auctions at 5:30 am PST and have them get bids. Used to be I didn't dare start any before 8:00 am.
