I notice when I list items in Half, it reverts to Ebay. Does that mean that I'll have to pay fees to list the items?

Hi: What do you mean by "reverts to Ebay"?

This is what I mean. When I go to "sell" an item (a book, cd, whatever), if the ISBN is not correct, the screen turns to EBAY. Plus, if I put an item up on Half.com, there's the EBAY screen at the bottom. It's like they want to push you over to Ebay (for a store, for fees), and frankly, I'm doing a lot better with Amazon. My last 3-4 sales this month has been with Amazon. I don't sell a lot, this is more of a hobby in search of a business for me.

Yes...half.com is phasing out and they are encouraging half.commers to move their inventory over to Ebay. And yes...you do have to pay ebay fees. Most seller are not going for it and many are moving inventory elsewhere.

Here is the ongoing Ebay thread on the subject.

It's almost like putting a baseball bat the sellers head.

Where is everybody going?
I'm doing pretty good with Amazon.

Ebay is really going to shoot themselves in the foot if they don't have an option for free listing like with half.com. There are a lot of books that are justs not suitable for auction. Ebay is just allowing an opening for competitors like Ubid, etc. to gain strength. How unlike them -- they usually like to destroy or buy competitors a la Microsoft.

We will have the last laugh on this one because we will be moving business away from ebay and to a competitor. They have outsmarted themselves this time.
