..or offer an automatic WBN without the checkout option!!! Do you know that EBay now owns PayPal?? Do you know that your check-out system is a remnant of the dinosaur days? Have you read the discussion of Vendio on the eBay page at Motley Fool?? They decided there that Vendio must be another third party payment system and should be avoided!! I would have set them straight when I found it but you have to pay to post and I wasn't about to do that!

I think Vendio lost status as an industry leader about the time you refused to support eBay stores..and then came the nightmare instructions to turn off the PayPal button! THat announcement totally confused most of your users..is that the best you could come up with in response to EBAy/PayPal integration? DO you have adequate staff to meet the needs of users??

I am now faced with notifying winners of my 1200 auctions ending on January 2 MANUALLY because my auction management system has nothing to offer me ( and I am not alone - see your Christmas wish list and Lindajeans thread on this topic). I only wish all 1200 auctions would be successful, but even with a sell through rate between 10 and 20%, the task is formidable.

Vendio did handle the listing crunch on FLD very well, and there have been some nice improvements like folder uploads of images but PLEASE take a look at your post-sale system ASAP!

Neglus: Why don't you post this in the Vendio chat room. We can't help you.

I am sure that Vendio reads this board so why not post here so we all can see it. I can sympathize with her. I don't list many auctions so manually isn't a problem with me. I did try and use PayPal's and my buyers never received them so if Vendio could come up with an automated WBN would be great. Look how fast an answer came from Vendio on the Phone issue so they do read this board.

libra, I thinkl that you get quicker response if you post in the Vendio chat room. At least I have in the past.

Where or what is the real name of this vendio chat room? I don't see it anywhere. Sounds like a good place to get problems resolved.

Thanks!

Will any change made to Vendio happen soon enough to benefit Neglus this coming Friday?

No, I didn't think so.

There are auction services providers that sell services a la carte. I hesitate to actually recommend vrane.com, which I contend is run by a college sophomore in his copious spare time, but he does have a tool that would do the trick. You have to buy silly vrane.com "Universal Credits" to use it. Check out the Power Mailer. jayandmarie use (or used to use) a customized Power Mailer invoice and if anyone knows volume, they do.

I use the Vendio WBN, but my very first sentence in it is "PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS CHECKOUT!" - sort of "tacky", but at least serves the purpose til something better comes along.

And, believe it or not, I haven't had anyone use Vendio Checkout (amazing when I get the bidders who can't read anything else!)

I'm not worried so much about someone actually chosing to use checkout.

I just want the following automatically put into my WBN:

Bid Total, subtotal or whatever: $5.00
Shipping $1.50

Total Due: $6.50

And, I want that information pulled from Ebay, not entered by me.

I don't believe the WBN on Vendio will do that. Doesn't it just point them to checkout for a total?

Whatever you do, don't drop the current system. If this other can be an option, then fine. But Vendio checkout works great for many of us!!!

If you think your customers won't like it then why not just say in the first line that it is optional and they can just pay direct with paypal or email for a total and payment info.
You will probably have over 50% still use it.
In the last year I have had a lot of people comment that they really liked the checkout. Some people like it and some don't. You will never please them all.

Also, I bought something from someone using Auction Watch about a year ago and they had all the info in the WBN that you want. (the link was still below but they didn't mention it)
I wasn't able to figure out how they did it and never got around to asking them. It was sent automatically because I received it within a few seconds of the auction end.
