Buyer left me feedback before paying.
Paid and then asked me for feedback.
Auction closed this morning.

I explained to this newbie to be careful when leaving feedback before getting items.
Unscrupulous sellers could take advantage of the buyer.

Should I go ahead and leave it before mailing?

Why wouldn't you?

If the buyer left feedback already it should be safe to leave it for them before you ship it.

I bought 2 products from the same seller 12/20 and have sent him 4 emails asking for an invoice. He left me glowing feedback this morning and still no invoice.

I would love to know how to make money selling a product and then not have the customer pay for it. How DOES that work???

Horsey - to be fair- two of that persons negs came from someone thatwon and auction 16 days earlier then apparently mailed a check then claimed tht the check had cleared 20 days earlier. Now - I may be a little rusty when it comes to "new math", but I don't see how that one adds up.

Fenix...Ebay math says you can only list 10 identical items even if the are for auctions that breaks the rules. This user has 40 identical items listed for feedback. Ebay says you must have the item you are selling in the title. The title of the 40 auctions are ~~~~~~~~FREE FAST FEEDBACK~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!! .

What are you having trouble adding ??

Oh good lord - is self righteous the word of the day? I was not commenting the persons auction - I'm not the listing police. I was noting the inconsistancies in the most recent negative feedbacks on the list. I was trying to find a little humor in a boring day but by all means - keep up the patrols. Ebayers everywhere can feel safer knowing you are on the job ................

I am lost here.

I just thought it was unusual to leave feedback before receiving the item. That's a first for me.

Over the years I've had a few buyers leave feedback when they paid by Paypal. Most were newbies and they may wanted to build their feedback rapidly.

Yes Ace! That is what I am thinking too.
Guess I'll go ahead and leave it too.
Thanks!

Yep. A couple of times new buyers have left feedback as soon as the auction was ended. Love when that happens!

I was wondering todaY:

When you read a sellers FB and see multi negs, who do you tend to side with the buyer or the seller?

The first few I thought okay, maybe some dippy "not-satisfied-no-matter-what buyers" then I started to see a pattern I could only blame the seller for. Seems strange as a buyer and a seller to be able to gauge that in true measure.

Really, how do you judge it? I'd like to know?

Before I even bid on an item I first glance at the feedback area and look at the percentage rating. If it is at 100% then that's all I investigate but if it is less then I look at the columns that say last 7 days, last 30 days and last 6 months. If there are only a few feedbacks then I can scroll through all of them but if there are a lot of them I only care about the one page of feedbacks that I can easily scan.
I know that many buyers leave unjustifed feedbacks but where there's smoke there is usually fire. I try to weigh the amount of negatives against the amount of positive. Sub 98% feedback ratings for sellers with a lot of feedback is a red flag. But it depends on what the sellers sells and if they are charging an excessive s/h. Many electronics sellers charge an excessive s/h and it has become the standard but many newbies do not understand the established practice and leave a negative or neutral feedback. If I'm okay with the excessive s/h ( a seller's way of screwing ebay ) then I heavily discount those negative feedbacks.

If the seller has bothered to respond and give reasonable explaintions I will still trust the seller. Sometimes if you look at the auction you can plainly see there are some nutty buyers out there. I had one leave neg feedback for non receipt of item on an international shipment 17 hours after the payment was sent (which was a week after the auction had ended) Feedback is never the be all end all both people have their say and it's up to you to use your own judgement.

Does anyone really think this guy is really selling how to get good feedback? It seems pretty clear to me that this guy is trying to pad his/her own feedback them will put some real bogus auctions out there so he/she can rip a bunch of innocent buyers off.
