I have always wanted them to count each and every feedback left towards our total. Even though the person has bought from us before, I have think each transaction should stand alone because we could still have a bad transaction from the same bidder or seller. That is leftover from the days when feedback wasn't even tied to a specific transaction.

Now, it looks like that number will disappear altogether. Where it used to say: 2,055 postives, 1,852 from unique users, will now only show the 1,852 on the new feedback page unless I am missing something

The total positives a seller receives will still show up - look at the top page shot on this...

http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/newfb3.html

At the bottom it has "All positive feedback received"...

A long time ago in a thread far, far away, someone who relies far too much on what other people opine said:

A seller can have 4,000 glowing positive feedbacks and 50 nasty negatives and the odds are that the positives will never get viewed and those 50 consectutive (emphasis mine) negative are going to be read and they will scare the Bejezus out of them

From New Member Profile FAQ:

"Why doesn't the Member Profile give people the ability to sort by positive, negatives and neutrals?

"eBay believes that it is important for a member who is evaluating the reputation of a potential trading partner to look at the person's reputation as a whole, not just a single component of their reputation. We also understand, however, the need to easily identify different ratings (positive, neutral, negative) as part of the purchase decision-making process."

Who would have thought so many people could be wrong?

What a joke e bay, even YOU purge files after so much time,,,,,,,One year should be enough punishment time......I mean most of the flakes have gone bye bye anyway........Narued.....etc......They Don't even Buy here anymore,,,,,one time deals and they were sooooooooooo,,hurt! A joke! purge after a year,,,,,,,,that's MORE than enough time to establish a PATTERN of Selling habits.

Never gonna happen BUT I got it off my chest......and.........

wgm: Only total feedback by unique users. Not total feedback so you lose all the ones left by repeat customers (which I have over 20% in all 3 id's).

where do you get that, lindajean?

look at the top box in the photo on that link - at the bottom - it has total positive feedback count, not unique users. The unique user count is include where the neutral and negative information is...

Three cheers for Office Depot being open on New Years day. About 20 minutes after the last post the old keyboard was completely and totally dead. Death by Iced White CHocolate Mocha. Of well - at least it was a sweet death....

Now back to our originally scheduled program...

::A long time ago in a thread far, far away, someone who relies far too much on what other people opine said...:::

This would not happen to be the same person that insisted that misconception becauses reality if it is bought into by enough people would it?

Imagine, and I was called arrogant for having the nerve to use my very own brain rather than echoing the mindlessness of others.
