bidder in Germany, who stiffed me about a year ago, but has changed ID's, is once again not paying on two items totaling 300.00. It has been 6 days since I filed NPB alerts. I left negs tonight, he has 3 others just before mine, out of 9 total FB's. My second place bidders were very close on both items and I'd like to offer second chances. Does anyone know if making a second chance offer in any way impacts my ability to file for FVF credit? I want these filings to count on this lowlife, he has two already as I have contacted those sellers who left him negs before I did. I want him gone. thanks!

Send the second chance offers. Try and get the sale first. Unless you are concerned that the second place bidder accepts the offer then deadbeats it too. Then to file for NPB and FVF, you would have to file both your first deadbeat and second deadbeat NPB's and FVF's at the same time.
Good luck

Offering a second chance would have nothing to do with the FVF on the original. It's a seperate transaction altoghether with a different auction number.

Not true. You can only file an NPB once per auction. It falls under the multiple bidders clause within the NPB system. If you file on one deadbeat, you must file on all deadbeats at the same time. You cannot go back later and file on a second deadbeat if you already have filed on the first.

As usual Stone is wrong.
A second chance auction is a seperate transaction with a seperate auction number.
Offering a Second Chance Offer will have no impact upon the original auction and if the under bidder accepts and then fails to pay you can indeed file for fee against them as well.
edited to add: Stone - you are thinking of Dutch Auctions, not Second Chance Auctions.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I'm not worried about the second bidders on either auction, they are both strong buyers I've dealt with before. One more thing, how strict is Ebay about the 10 day wait between filing NPB and FVF? I'd just as soon file now, this guy isn't going to suddenly decide to pay...Thanks!
