I had this guy buy a DVD from me almost three weeks ago,and now he wants a new one claiming I sold him a used one, that it was scratched up. He wouldn't sent the other back to me and insisted I send out another one or he would give me a neg. I told him to neg on. I had already gave him positive feedback and I am not really worried about it.

Congratulations on your first negative for the New Year! LOL Another good reason to NOT leave feedback until the buyer leaves feedback first. I learned that a long time ago after I received an unfounded negative remark. I'm glad it's not getting under your skin and it doesn't bother you. Some people make it sound like it's the end of the world. I'm lucky though...only one negative in almost 1000 feedbacks.

I got one too on half, but negs there don't really bother me much anymore, no matter what I do they are going to happen.

Likely buyer remorse. Electronic chain stores were darn near giving DVDs away in December.

Check the email you got from him very carefully in which he threatened to neg you if you didn't send him another. He may have worded it such that it could be considered feedback extortion. If so, you may be able to get the neg removed. And possibly get him removed also.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Sparkz I contacted E-Bay,they will most likely removed it. I sell only brand new DVDs and have lots of repeat costumers.

Stop has a great question. What if the DVD is really scratched? Then that idiot "cta" statement is false. If so, then you do deserve a neg in return for not providing a good product.

And that theory gets tossed out the window Stone when she agreed to a replacement if the buyer returned the defective item and they refused.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Since he offered the choices "EITHER replace, or I will neg", he selected his own resolution to the matter. Case closed. I hope you do get the neg removed!

Stonecold - Thanks for calling me an "idiot" but can't you read? MAH645 would have replaced it if the other one was returned as proof. So please read the original post before you start dishing out names and keep your obtuse comments to yourself.
