3 days straight, and I can't literally get out of my house. Feels like I am under house arrest. When I finally get to the post office next week, some of my packages will be sitting here a week. I can feel the negs coming now...Ice sucks!
I know kinda how you feel, we had *some* snow up here in Seattle, more depending on where you live.... YEAH well downtown may not have gotten a whole lot, but I live in the 'burbs and we got 6 inches, AND we live on a hill, so today was the first day our hill was SLUSH... my auctions just had to end on the day it started snowing, go figure, I had to write to a couple who had paid right away through PayPal and tell them I was on a hill, and stuck... only one wrote back, saying she understood
Heard Oregon got quite a storm, more than here! I feel for ya!

If we had mail service that would be great, but no mail or paper for a couple of days now. Tomorrow schools are closed too, another day in. Some areas of Portland are not that bad, but we are right near the Columbia River gorge, so as this point I will be happy to leave my house by Sunday - we'll see. I've gotten a lot done at least, today I cleaned out the garage! Even got my ebay stock in order. There is some good that is coming of this.

I noticed the mail is a little slow. Payments coming to me are slower than normal.I'm not a Seller who has a chicken if I don't get payments in 10 days,so I don't pay it much mind.

Here in NC, the forecast is for about an inch of snow. Grocery stores are flooded, with folks stocking up. Panic. LOL I'm from Iowa. We wern't concerned until it got at least -10, and two feet on the ground. And, then still schools opened. All depends on what you ae used to.

Remember one time in the late 80s when I was driving tractor-trailer.
I left Jersey one night in a mini blizzard, drove all night was heading for Atlanta Georgia.
As I drove during the night heading south the snow got lighter and lighter.
When I arrived in the morning at Atlanta there was only 1/8" of snow.
I was delivering to a Goverment/Military installation, and guess what!
I was the only one there except the guards, place was closed down because no one could make it to work with all the snow!
A whooping 1/8" WOW!

For me, the NC climate is ideal. There is a change of seasons. Fall and Spring are gorgeous. The "Winter", what there is of it, means a couple of snows. And at the end of February, it's starting to be Spring again. Maybe that is why folks are flooding this place. I wish they would stay where they are. LOL

You mean the mail DOESN'T run every day Monday through Saturday??!!
Whatever happened to:
"Neither rain nor hail nor sleet nor snow nor heat of day nor dark of night shall keep this carrier from the swift completion of his appointed rounds."

Baby it's cold outside. Here in the chilly State of Maine it is currently -5 degrees with a windchill of -30. Minus 30 degrees!!! Time to plan my Florida vacation. Burrrr.....

My husband, who is an absolute wuss with cold weather, thinks anything under 50 is a freeze warning. A crazy golfer who considers warm dress a short sleeve shirt and sweater vest. Who always asks me....does the PGA play in cold? Well, no. But he ain't Tiger Woods either.

Hey Jack scoot over some lol It was 70 degrees here 2 days ago....I'll take one of whatever your drinking. Raining tonight so the temp dropped just a tad (45 right now) and of course the little one is freezing .I wouldn't know how to act if we got any snow. Our trees just started changing colors last week , when the temp stayed at 50 for a few days. 1/8 inch of snow would shut our schools down too dadofstickboy lol cause we never see it.

Hey Jack, I used to live in Southern California too, born and raised there actually. I don't miss the smog, I don't miss the traffic, and I don't miss most of the people. I actually have neighbors who talk to each other, look out for each other, even bring over home baked goods. When I lived in LA, I didn't even know the name of my neighbors. I'll take a few days of inconvenience to live in a nice place!
The mail did come on Tuesday, I guess they deemed it too dangerous, and I have to agree, it is. I actually fell down yesterday (more like fell on my butt and slid down the stairs) - Sore, but ok fortunately. If I was 8, I would have thought it was a lot of fun!
