While I was looking for a company whom I had done business with in the past I noticed they were no longer a "Registered User". This company had 5,000 feedbacks with a 99% rating? Were they termed...etc. I see this all the time on Ebay what does this mean?
Thanks,
Ryan

It may mean they didn't pay their eBay bill
(e.g., listing fees, final value fees).

Simply put. They are suspended. The reason no one will ever know or tell you. But that ID is toast.

It may be toast for now but active again in a few days. I've seen it happen often, maybe because they haven't paid their bill or maybe because of an ebay infraction that they proved they hadn't done.

I found myself listed as "not a registered user" once.
Seems the expiration date on my credit card had changed. As soon as I updated my acct w/the new expiration date the "not registered"
was removed

There are a lot of reasons a company can go NARU - Not paying a bill, having out of date contact info - i.e. phone number. NARU is not permanent, and although the connotation is often negative, it isn't always the case.

Hi All, if a company just plain quits selling on ebay would that company also be "not a registered user"?

A company can stop selling and not be NARU.

Any user can request that Ebay make their account NARU. There are a variety of reasons a person would do this, but most commonly it's to thwart feedback bombing by a looney. Chances are that your seller, if he did this, is selling under a different account until the 90 days plays out.
