Sorry,
Its www.mycheckfree.com and I noticed they now have an EBAY icon on their home page.
I didnt look into to it fully, but that could be a neat way for buyers to pay direct from their checking accounts and us not to have to pay Paypal fees.
Am pretty sure its a legit site. Its free to users as they, *I think* are sponsered by the larger billing corporations that dont want to manage online billing web sites, ie, exxon/mobil, etc, etc.

Checkfree (ticker symbol: CKFR) is the parent company and has been in the online payments business since the mid 1980s. They have (from memory) around 12 million plus customers who use their company to pay third party bills, mainly utilities, credit card payments, etc via ACH payments from their bank accounts. Auction Payments is a rebranding of their ValidCash P2P and B2P payments system which is much more secure by design that PayPal since payments are FDIC insured while in the system between bank accounts.

Thanks for the tip on checkfree....I just went to their site. My impressions were...
1.a very intelligent and understandable site.
2.this looks like a much better service than paypal.
3.it does have fees, but lower than paypal
4.no chargebacks or phony problems from chiselers.
5.fast, tho not as fast as paypal...that's ok.
6.it appears established, professional, and not a penny-ante operation
7.the major drawback is that it requires the
payer to both have a checking account and be willing to give permission to checkfree to access it. I suspect on the basis of 5 years experience on ebay that many people don't have or want to use personal checks...
Still, If you're a paypal user, you have a checking account that they can access (Am I correct on this?}
8.I intuitively like it and will probably sign up and thumb my nose at paypal.

It might be the greatest thing since coffee, BUT, with the popularity with buyers of PayPal, I doubt buyers would use it. I tried another service once, along with PayPal, and NO ONE ever used it, so I finally dropped it.

I thought it would be free to users as sender and receiptant alike. But haha fat chance of that.
The only detriment to using something like this is once you give them authorization its not for a one time transaction. You're basically authorizing them to go into your account whenever. Same with paypal.
