Wow, that is a crazy price - Worth it if it really does all get donated, but I shall remain skeptical...Paul O'Neill isn't THAT tough of an autograph, and it is not that uncommon for people who have signatures on the bills to autograph them (people do collect these!)

the "thing" about this was, Gallagher is a radio DJ [sorta national, but most known in Sacramento i think], who, when he asked oneil for the autograph, oneil first said, 'ok, but only if you promise not to sell it on ebay' ........ well, Gallagher considers that oneil broke his 'promise' in his oath of office to never dis The Dubya, ergo Gallagher decided he doesn't have to keep his promise to Oneil ... so he put it on ebay and is pledging the full proceeds to go to military families. ... when on foxnfriends, Wed.morn, he said it was at 300-sumpthin' ... by the time i'd checked it that night, it was a lot higher ...

Jack - just out of curiosity - should newbies start selling junk since apparently any nice items come into doubt?

The can't bid on anything because they are considered automatic deadbeat and can't sell anything because they are probably a theif.

No wonder there are feedback auctions.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Actually Fenix, I think it is better that someone selling have experience as a BUYER first, to sort of get an understanding of ebay. As far as zero feedback buyers, I don't consider them automatic deadbeats, just new ebay users. I have more problems with the 10-100 feedback people than people with zero feedback.

Vet - I would hope that average person can figure out how to sell quite easy. Ebay has made it almost idiot proof. Beteen the EOA notice, invioceing and reminder features it's ot that hard to figure out - I sell, they pay, I ship

The selling process is the easiest part of ebay. It's the inventory procurement and marketig that takes time and experience.

If you are an experienced seller, it is easy to forget about the hurdles when you get started. One of my businesses is a consulting business, and I work with people who have no idea how to save a file to a floppy drive, or a cd. I also work with some dealers on making their ebay business more efficient - For some people, going through the process once, and they are just fine. Others, it can take a very long time. It really depends...
