In one of my auctions, which closed last night, the buyer paid 3 times for the same item through PayPal. She is confirmed and verified and the payment was "instant".
In her email to me this morning, she stated that she "had lost track" and asked I refund her overpayment.
This is certainly a first for me. Any potential problems with my sending her a refund?

I've encountered this situation a few times and had no problem giving a refund or two refunds. There must be many people in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease or dementia out there buying stuff on ebay.

I had it happen recently. The guy paid promptly. Then paid again the next night. I refunded the second payment noting that he had already paid.
Maybe folks just have more money to burn than I do.

I think some of these people who pay more than once might not have dementia but may be poor record keepers. I keep records on every transaction, buying or selling, because I know I'd lose track if I didn't.

I quess it depends on how muc "2 Buck" you have been drinking. LOL I know for a fact that I sent an invoice one evening & tried to send it the next morning because I didn't remember sending it. Oh yes, I do drink "2 Buck Chuck" I usually drink a bottle every night.

I had a lady send me a second payment 2 months after the auction! i immediately refunded it and she emailed wanting to know if i had ever mailed the item! i told her she had left positive feedback when she received it and to read the feedback she had left.
maybe she was cleaning her desk and found an old email from me???????
