Some time ago, I was directed to a site where I got some free computer advice - from individuals. It wasn't a commercial site.

There are several sites out there. If you have a specific issue try typing it into Google. That is what works best for me.
That is what I did when I had to reinstall windows. Everything turned out ok because of the help I got.

OK. I just need a place to go for help on how to ----
My camera or computer has decided they will no longer communicate with each other.
It happened suddenly as I was using it then needed to take one more photo - I attempted to download that one - it just didn't connect.
I did manage to get a new cable and that didn't work either.
My computer is 4 years old and doesn't have a USB port (I can't find one) so a new camera doesn't seem to be the answer without purchasing a new computer as well or installing a USB port.
So my next step is to re-install my camera program. Now my disc has gotten cracked - not sure how. I can download from the web - but I just don't know the exact procedure. I realize it is child's play for some - and I have done it - but don't remember just how.
My camera is a Kodak 215DC Zoom if anyone out there has one and has any suggestions.

look under your control panel/system and see if your camera is showing up (under camera and scanners, I have XP now, I don't remember 98) try updating the driver if it is, and if not, you'll need to unistall it through add/remove programs in the control panel and download that new camera driver etc.
