I just received one of the normal ebay spoof emails. However, this one is a bit different than the rest. This one tells you that your account with ebay is suspended and you must click on the link to find out why. It also states that attempting to access your ebay account other than through the link will cause permanent suspension from the site. Of course I immediately deleted the email and check my ebay account to be sure no one was messing with it. For new people this email might just be one that makes them click on the link.

I've decided what I would like for Valentines Day - Five minutes alone with the idiots who send these emails, in a closed room, and I'm armed with a very large tire iron.

Is that too much to ask???

These spoofers are constantly refining their "art." I am with you, capolady - let's get 'em. I have often thought of people like that as parasites, like fleas and ticks on a dog. Sad thing is, too many parasites and the dog dies. There should be a special kid of flea dip for these spoofers! And you are right, newbies are especially vulnerable. I shudder to think how many have fallen for it.
