I just got what seems like a suspicious email to me.
"I have never bid on anything before--please help.
Is the KITCHEN ROSES pattern gone?
If you still have it, I will pay $10. US to buy it from you!!
I would be humbly grateful for any consideration of this matter.
Thanks,
Marcia"
It is for an item I sold on Bidville almost 4 months ago, and it seems very odd that someone would write about it now. Could it be a way of spreading a virus?
I have decided not to respond, but I would be interested in what other think about the message. The item was a cheap little leaflet that sold for less than $2.

Don't think there would be a way to spread a virus by responding to the e-mail. I'd tell her you'll send her a PayPal invoice. If she's interested, let her pay you.
I could see someone who ran across the detail somewhere and thought - "What the hell - doesn't hurt to ask her if she still has any..."

The point is, I sold it back in October, so why contact me after all this time, surely it is not something you would rememeber, and it has been off the site for a long time. Also, it didn't come through Bidville, but has my very recent new email address. I didn't know if opening an email could infect the computer with a virus, I thought I remembered that happening a while ago.

Sounds legit to me! If you still have the item and $10 sounds like a fair price, why not sell it to her? Don't ship until you get the $ and of course DONT DOWNLOAD anything anyone sends you as an attachment unless you know them and are expecting it (that is the way you get email virus - not by responding)
