the "shop eBay stores" feature at the bottom left of the search pages!! The stores "featured" there don't necessarily have the most listings in the search...sometimes my store is listed there and sometimes it's not...has anyone figured out the rhyme and reason to this??

For example, if you look at the postcard->US State and Town Views :http://collectibles.listings.ebay.com/Postcards_US-State-Town-Views_W0QQfromZR11QQsacategoryZ20193QQsocmdZListingItemListQQsocolumnlayoutZ3, the first store listed is "larry's Postcards", but if you click on "see all matching stores": http://stores.ebay.com/stores/category20193/index.html, you can see that good ol' Larry is down in 5th position and the number of listings shown (look at RefriedJean's #'s)don't seem to jive.

I ask because sometimes my store sales are great (maybe because I am listed on the category page?) and sometimes they are sluggish.

My limited understanding.

If you pay the $49.95 fee for your "Featured Store", you get:

Priority placement in the "Shop eBay Stores" section that appears on search results pages on eBay.

I know that, but I don't pay the $50 and my store sometimes shows up there. Maybe there aren't 4 postcard sellers who pay the $50 (my sales sure don't warrant that expense!)

Several months ago, without paying the $49.95, I do not think your store would show up there at all.

Then eBay made a change, and places featured stores there before the un- featured stores.

At least you get there sometimes now, when there are not enough featured stores to fill the section.
