I just saw a preview for the Fox channel 6 news at 9:00 tonight....They said "Ebay Alert - tonight at 9:00". I know I'm giving you an hour notice, but just in case you're around I thought I would try....

Thanks ihula for the heads up. I will be watching. There has been a few eBay problems in this area. Did you read about the women that stole $130,000 worth of ink cartridges and other office things and sold them on eBay. I cut the article out but now I have missplaced it. Also the Burlington women that lost %1500 to someone in Nigeria. It's hitting close to home. Thanks again.

I didn't hear about those, but they had someone on the news last night that sold a car online (not on Ebay) and someone from out of state bought it for $11,000 and sent her a cashiers check for $20,000 and told her to send him $9000.00 back. She didn't fall for it (thankfully). I had heard that scam before too. Phoney cashiers checks.

They told us nothing that we didn't already know. Brett Favre sold his car last month and I guess he also sold his house. Car went for big bucks to a women in Milwaukee.

They said not to use Western Union but safe with PayPal. Ya right.....

we have a local man who answered an online ad for a job....this company supposedly sent him $10,000 in cashiers checks which he deposited into his checking account...after waiting for the checks to clear he then sent money to different people and addresses as instructed by "his employer". after all the money was gone they found out the checks were forgeries. this was in our local paper.
