Well, now that we've discoverd Ralphie's true nature (vicious/nasty/catty/etc), he spent a very productive weekend rolling blind ladies & Yorkies!

He brought home a huge assortment of goodies, including this Flower-Frog, which he insists is a "COWAN" -- after beating me up, I agreed to ask you, me impartial fruends of the VD persuasion...is this STAG/ELK/BAMBI a COWAN?

ALSO: what animal is this??

Please answer quickly, so's the little monster will untie me & let me get some food & water...HELP!

Hi Tom,

Let Ralphie know I found his frog. Will post a link in a minute. It's Redwing, not Cowan.

Editing to add the link.

Check the second one.

Hi,

First off, I know absolutely nothing about Redwing or any other pottery, for that matter. So it's hard for me to judge if it's worth listing without the bowl. There are 2 completeds and one active listed on eBay with the bowl.

Here's the open one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3704804362&category=455

Who knows? I'd give it a shot. You've got your pictures done and it wouldn't take much to type it up. IMHO it might be a good idea to clean off the price marking and re-take the pic of the bottom.

It a humpless camel.

By the way ... if you scroll quickly down the page - it appears to piruette (or however you spell that - I never took ballet)

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Hi again,

Here are a couple of auctions for the parts. Some of these are listed with Redwing as two words.

I don't think it looks much like a deer - might want to say Doe. my first thought was a gazelle.

so what was Ralphie doing with those unscrupulous fellows?

Well, the one auction that Lucy listed sure looks promising.

Geesh! He don't get caught!

He sits on top of his house, yelling at the top of his little lungs: "I'm on top of the world, Pa!" -- then he shoves a grapefruit half inna my face!

Oh, thoust heartless criminal canine!

Hey Tomwii, I think you need to rephrase VD persuasion. I think that would be politically incorrect, if you know what I mean.

I think you should list that little "dear" as you never know when a redwing collector might be surfing. Redwing does great in our antique mall.

Red Wing Pottery was located in Red Wing, MN. Went out of production about 1960 due to a strike. Originally made crockery i.e. jugs & all sizes of crocks. These are very collectible if in excellent condition. As faras value, this part of a setwith matching bowl (vase) really don't know thae value but someone may know. I had a set like this with the bowl & frog some yrs ago. Red Wing Pottery is still in business selling imports.

You know, I found these listed as Redwing (one word) and Red Wing. Might be a good idea to put both spellings in your title.

Just a thought.
