After losing her crutches, the blind nun selling Girl-Scout cookies for starving doggies in Korea was NO match for Ralph's FEROCIOUS attack!

WHO would have guessed his insatiable appetite for mayhem, NTM trinkets & doodads, such as this beautiful watch:

I know band isn't original, but can anybody help with approximate date & value?

MARKED "SWISS" on face!
"535265 BULOVA" & "10K ROLLED GOLD PLATE" on back!

I know bank isn't original

Is it a watch or a bank?

Ralphie has turned into a real 'tough'.

They used to put dates on the inner case. Maybe a watchmaker can tell you.

It's very nice. From the 1920's-1930's. Should bring $75-125. The dial is nicest part. Very clean and never cleaned(in other words...it's original). Collectors like this.
Good luck.

Tom - definitely Art Deco, 20s or 30s. Is it yellow or white gold?

Tom - does it work and are you aware that I will turn both my fully clawed somewhat coddled house cat and my declawed superhunter-menace-to-humming-birds, able to open any kennel with a flick of the tail commie blue on Ralphie if you don't let me know when you list it?

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

ANSWERS:

1) White Gold, since it is silver colored

2) It does tick-tock...IT KEEPS TIME! Whoever buys it should take it in for a check-up (??)

3) It looks essentially brand NEW!

Add another $50 for that nice work on the side of the case. Make the value $125-200. It's not solid gold. It's got a heavy gold plating.

THANK YOU everybody!

I will try to list tonight -- right now I'm nursing Ralphie's wounds, as he plots pugilistic plans for the morning...

You know you said that that isn't the original band, well it could be as many watches like that had those bands. By the looks of the holder on the watch the band fits nicely.

tomwiii, nice watch. Pure art deco design, band could be original. I have sold several similar watches on Ebay. Never had a gold filled one crack $100.00 more like 40 to 60 but one never knows. Good Luck.

Is the back stamped with what metal content is? I have my grandmothers Bulova watch from around 1910 and it isn't stamped. I took it to a jeweler and he said it is stainless steel or something, so it isn't worth near as much. I sell some watches for a guy and if it isn't stamped on the back with gold or whatever it isn't white or yellow gold.

Just my half cent.

Yo! HolyTootsies!

I had noted that it is marked (?stamped/?engraved)on the back thusly:

"535265 BULOVA"
&
"10K ROLLED GOLD PLATE"
