I just picked up this 6" ewer shaped bud vase, and don't know how to describe it or whether it's even worth listing on eBay. It's porcelain and I believe it's German or Austrian by the embossed numbers on the base. Any insight would be appreciated.

It is an attractive vase, so where ever it came from, why would you not think it would be worth listing? Every 9.99 you can get, will get you at least a pizza dinner.
[or 5 two-buck chucks] see?! it's valuable when you look at it that way.

That's a very pretty vase, and I agree that it's worth listing, no matter what. You know, the spout has the look almost of glass overlay, although it probably isn't. There's a name for the rippling there, too--is it lettuce-edge? Someone here will know better than I do.

MAX, I've found alot of things marked made in Germany always get bid on. I dont know if its the perception that all things German-made are of superior quality, or there is just a certain group of collectors for it. I'd take a bet this vase would do very well on auction. I think its a pretty nice and unusual piece. If it only costs you a dollar or so to find out, why not? About the same as a gamble on a lottery ticket, and way better odds
