Found this in my mailbox this morning.

Dear [id deleted],

Hi [name deleted]. I know you get thousands of e-mails a day but I had a concern about one of your customers. The customer ID is: xxxxxxxxxx and I feel he is hoarding all the bidding. I know you are here to make money but I have found that lately I cant keep up with the bidding because this person is just bidding on everything. Buying 4, 5 and even 6 of the same items making it impossible for others to bid on your merchandise. I have found this very discouraging and feel as though I cant win any of your items and there for bidding seems useless because I know will not win. It is as though this person sits by the computer 24 hours a day and bids on everything. I have been extremely pleased with your service and items and want to continue doing business with you. If this person needs to buy in bulk then he should purchase from your bulk actions. I have recommended you to many of my friends who have spent a lot of money, as I have, and totally love you! All have been frustrated with the situation with this person. I would love if you informed him of your bulk actions so we can enjoy your great deals also! Thank you so much.

Two Words......

Launch Damnit!!

Get that website up and going, these people are clammoring for your stuff.

As to what to tell her... Tell her that you understand her frutration but am unable to interfere with the very nature of auctions. With that in mind you are working your fuzzy little paws to the nub and well thru the night to put the finishing touches on your website where all of your products will be readily available to all who wish to buy to their unimpeded hearts desire.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Launch Damnit!!

You are a popular, important and trustworthy person to whom I would have no hesitation entrusting the tens of millions of dollars in my offshore account (not to mention talented and goodlooking) but with all due respect given to your awesome capabilities and vast experience, I believe that none of the parties involved are interested in buying wholesale lots.

Bidder xxxxxxxxxx is clearly caught up in auction fever, bless her heart. Long may she live, and may her checking account never run dry.

stop: The complainer knows she can bid higher. She doesn't waaaaaaant to. (That's the sound of a really fine whine.)

Actually, though, Fenix gave me a great idea. How's this for a response:

"Thank you for your intriguing email. We are hard at work putting the finishing touches on our e-commerce Web site. When complete, we expect that many of our current eBay bidders will want to buy there and enjoy the convenience of ordering jewelry without having to wait for the auction to end.

"We have been busy moving our facility to a new location these last couple of weeks, but I think your email is just the nudge I needed to get the Web site up and running.

Thanks again,
ftwc"

Ah yes - The devil is in the details isn't he. I forgot the wholesale only aspect of your site (not sure how since I am doing the same thing right now).

In that case - thank her profusely for her valiant battle against this auction hogging cad which have resulted in higher bid prices for you (ok don't mention that part but you know what I mean) and encourage her ongoing active partication by dangling that "eventually he will bid himself out and you will stand victorious" carrot.

Oh yeah - there is also the promise that the new hire band of alleycats will enable MORE listings which should result in less comptetion between the two of them and greater opportunities for her and her friends.

OK all I am seeing is someone that can't get your items for a penny any longer because you have built up your reputation and that frustrates the hell out of her/him. Wait till she sees your website..I'm sure you will be selling closer to retail at that point. You are in high demand and a penny just isn't cutting it anymore Congratulations!..You are my mentor. I hope to be in your shoes one day...
BTW the real low price bidders..the one you make a buck profit off of are usually the biggest pains in the you-know what.. as I'm sure Fluffy can attest to..
