I had to return a check to a buyer not long ago because she used Wite-Out on the payee line.

I know someone can top that, I just know it.

Had someone send me a check from an acct. they closed 2 years before.
Took around 45 days to bounce.
By then I had sent their item, and you know the rest!

Had some bid on 2 separate $5.00 items
Sent 2 separate checks

Bounced both

I never recovered the $40 in fees

That one hurt..I thought long and hard about no accepting checks but I decided to keep the option for my buyers and haven't had a problem a year later

If she uses White-Out on a check, I'd hate to see the screen on her monitor.

There were two hunters hunting in Austria deep in the woods.A czecklasalavakian and a German, when they dont show up for 2 days they send out a search party. They come upon 2 big bears, a male and female eating lunch. They saw the hunters clothes beside them and put 2 & 2 together and shot the bears. One guy opens up the female and says
"hey,I found the German" The other guys says "well if the Germans in the femeale, the Czech must be in the male."

Buyer wins an auction for a total of $9.99. He sends cash. Instead of placing a $10 bill in the envelope, he puts in nine dollars, 3 quarters, 2 dimes, and 4 pennies. In trying to save one lousy cent, the extra weight of the change in the envelope causes him to need an additional 23 cent stamp to mail it to me.

Another winner- sends his info written in pencil,on a greasy, USED Popeye's Chicken napkin. Disgusting. I sent the used napkin back to him with his item, in case he needs it in the future.

Actually, I can kind of understand your buyer's confusion. It's all Amazon's fault.

Amazon has blurred the marketplace lines by offering not only their own book stock but that of other sellers as well.

However, when you go to Checkout and pay for other sellers' goods, you can use the same on-file credit card you've previously used to buy Amazon goods.

Your winner may think eBay works the same way.

Have to love these buyers!!! Yesterday morning I received a check from a buyer. She had all the right info and a check. Great Right??? Wrong!! The check was completely blank. No amount-no signature, nothing. She sent a note: "please fill in the proper amount and sign the check with my name."

What do u think? One million maybe???

Her total cost is 127.98 - that's close enough to a million don't you think??

Naturally, I really put the whole mess back into an envelope and have returned it to her requesting that she fill out the info and sign her own check.

We'll see what happens from here.
