Can anyone give me some user info on their good or bad experience using Sellathon.com to track the origin/history of listing hits? FYI, an eBay University speaker in Miami recommended it.

Give it a try. I'm trying it out and love it. I don't believe it's "junk" because the information I was looking for helped me out with my listings. I really wanted to know how someone found my listings and when they were looking at my items. I also wanted to know what key words they were using to look up the items that brought them to my listing. Plus a whole bunch more questions. It really does help out if you're like me and want to improve your listings. This will definitely help. Because "enquiring minds want to know ..."

I checked out their site and the amount of data on a visitor they collect is very impressive. I suppose that's why I have an uneasy feeling about this company. I'm curious if anyone here has ever clicked on an auction using their services and ran Spybot Search And Destroy afterwards? If so, what were the results? They seem to be collecting more data than most spyware programs, and some of what they glean from a visitor is very suggestive of what a trojan would collect. Maybe they have some new patented technology that I don't know about, and possibly I'm paranoid, but I'll sit on the sidelines and watch this one for awhile before I get into the game.

I have been using during the free trial and have learned several new things. Definitely go through the free trial. With their new version #2, you don't get quite the extent of info as in version 1. But it's the useful info. I learned that I was way on the days and times I thought people were looking at my auctions.

Sparkz - To the best of my knowledge, it does not put any cookies on your computer. I've run Adaware afterwards and it found nothing. It's not even a real-time tracker. For instance, if your auction receives a visit or a bid, it won't even register it until someone else visits the auction.
I've really loved using it and it's helped me 'tweak' my auctions to get nearly twice as many hits as I was getting before.
