That's the problem with the Western Union auto banner insertion. It does it for every running auction, whether or not a previous iteration of the auction already had a banner.
I turned off the auto insertion feature and am systematically stripping those banners out of my auctions.
Western Union really needs to get a clue.

I don't use the auto insertion feature. I copied and pasted the html into my default text box and have never had a problem.

Seller sold 2 of 17 identical handbags listed. Not a very hot item.

They were very hot a couple months ago but between market saturation and $12 shipping they are not reading the tea leaves.

I wonder if...
The seller is too lazy to edit out the html code that wuap inserts every time they do their update for newly posted auctions. The seller is using one day auctions. He/She should either edit out the code or turn off the automatic search for newly listed auctions. That looks so bad.

Since it is automatic insertion, what makes you think that the seller is aware of the havoc going on in their auction? Do you check each of your active auctions on an individual basis daily?

I've also turned off automatic inserts. I noticed that when you re-list, they are inserted all over again and you end up with a mess at the end of your auctions.

If I relist an auction, I sure do check the description and remove the inserted html code from wuap. I used to have to do it with PayPal before eBay gobbled them up.

Aww, go ahead, email and ask them if they take Western Union.
