Hi, I've been a member since 1998 and have had 3 negative feedbacks. One of them is from a 'no longer a registered user'. Should this not reduce it to 2?

That would make sense but it ain't gonna happen. Those negs stay with you forever...or until you pay $20 to eBay for mediation...and I don't imagine a NRU would care one way or the other about the feedback he left you so wouldn't have an interest in agreeing to withdraw it. 2 of the 3 people who have left me a neg are also NRU. It still rankles...

In the early days of eBay the feedback, good and bad, of any no longer registed member was converted to a neutral. I lost several glowing positives that way and was really upset when my number dropped because building my feedback was important to me as a newbie. At some point the rules changed and now feedback will stay behind after the member is gone.

depends on what the negative was give for.
If its an obvious retalitory neg I think it should be removed. If you deserved the neg then it should stay, weather he is NRU or not.

I have always wondered about the NARU negs.

If you open a SquareTrade case, will they not be able to contact the NARU member, and therefore will review your request and consider removal without the input of the other party?
