I am hoping somebody can shed some light on this problem for me. I recently got a new computer and also a new internet provider. We live in the country and the only way to get a faster service than my slow dial-up was to get an ISDN line. It does work a little better, but when I go to some of my bookmarked pages it will not let me view them, it says I am unauthorized. The one is my Ebay page of things that I am selling. It will not let me go to it, I have to go to Ebay.com and go the long way, look under sellers, then my id, etc. Somebody sent me a question about one of my auctions with a thread to it, when I went to go to it, it also said I am unauthorized. This is getting very frustrating. I don't know if it is the computer or the new internet provider. This is a small town provider and the only one who can provide service other than AOL, etc. I don't know how to fix the problem of not being able to view my pages, does anybody have an idea on what I should do? Thanks for listening and for your help.

We need a specific error message.

Do you have Windows XP?

Did you or do you by any chance have SpyBot installed?

the only time I've ever seen the error message like that is when I had the box checked in Spybot that says Lock IE control panel under the Immunize section.

The error message was something like: You are unathorized to whatever.

Think you need to get on the phone to your New ISP and tell them your problem!

It almost sounds like your new set up won't let you get into certain internet sites because they may now be restricted. Did you recently add virus protection software? You may want to try this...While signed on to the internet, go to Tools, Internet Options, Security, Trusted Sites, Sites - then type in the addresses of the sites you've been trying to access and Add them. This may help. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will give some of these a try this week-end. I know there are usually glitches with every new computer and it takes awhile to work through them. I will get ahold of the guy who has the internet service if some of the other suggestions don't work. We really don't like to deal with him, but he's the only service around that we could get anything through faster than dial-up. We already have a virus/worm on this computer but did get that taken care of. I don't know if it came through his service or not, but it's the first one we have had since we have had computers. Thanks again for the help.

Also check to see that you have all the IE updates installed. Check what security level your IE is. Most sites require 28-bit. Click on Help in IE and then About Internet Explorer. I had a problem a short while back and mine mostly stemmed from my firewall and ad-blocker. Once I figured out how to configure them, the problem was pretty much solved.

It is probably not your computer - I can't get to them either - their scheduled maintenance is obviously running longer than expected - surprised nothing posted on their announcement board. I am not new and having same problem in PA - shows I have no listings.

Yes, let's all speculate.

I think it is something that is on my computer as my laptop lets me go to my favorites. I will follow the suggestions and see what happens. Thanks for the help.
