Last week I sent out 2 packages of similar size and shape to customers on the West Coast { I am in New York}- Unfortuantly I inadvertenly switched the labels- I received an EMail from the gentleman in California who got the wrong item I asked him to send it to the lady in Oregon and I would refund his postage-I sent her the same Emasil with his address-nver heard from her but I assumed she was going to take care of it and let me know the postage etc- He sent the package today and I paid his paypal acct for the postage BUT my Emails to her is not going through. she has an unlisted phone number and I am at my wits end- Do I have any recourse with EBAY contacting her???? Both items were paiid by PAYPAL and were insured for $50.00-

Notify the local police (for her) and inform them of a theft taking place. Make sure you have all the information necessary to support your claim.

Notify Ebay of noncontact info.

You need a working phone to be registered with Ebay.

Did you pull her contact info from Ebay?
They should have a phone #.

They do not have a phone number listed for ebay ???

I thought you had to have a working number listed with them when you signed up ??

Did you pull their contact info from ebay ???
Maybe if they check the emails they will see it and call you ????

Sorry this has happened to you...We have all done it,, and kick ourselves for doing so.
Let us know how you make out.

THEFT? Anything that comes to me unsolicited in the mail is a gift, free for me to keep. She did not solicit his item, did she?
If you get hold of her and she's a decent person she'll voluntarily send it back/on its way, but she doesn't have to. Ask your postman.

This was your mistake, noone else's. You should have had him return HER package to YOU, then resent it after checking contents AND receiving package back from her.

Yes, I've made the same mistake, and that was how I handled it. Threw a little bonus ($5)
into each package as a "tardy" fee.

Since they paid with PayPal, and they require tracking. Did you send it with tracking or DC? Check to she if she received the package.

Since you know the address where you sent it, try going into a reverse address look up and get the phone number that way.

No theft has occured. eBay should have a working phone number. If not send a post card (snail mail) with your contact info.
