I see it coming as Clear as a bell....And if they ARE reading this, someone at E bay will make this happen.....You WILL be FORCED to use e bays trucking/delivery company. Indepents will fill the bill in the beginnings,,,,UNTIL they get a Fleet of Trucks, Semi's, Small trucks, etc. You WILL see E bay on the sides of BIG trucks rolling across America....That my freinds is HOW e bay WILL dictate shipping fees, their rates. Why not, If I, were Ebay that Would be my NEXT way to make a buck.....Shipping........And then,,,,,,Across the Skies,,,,,,,,,747's E bay! the ONLY way ta fly.....And ya just know,,e bay has the bucks ta do it.......

The only way that would happen is if they bought an existing shipping company. And since DHL bought Airborne, there aren't any left that they could possibly afford that have any coverage worth talking about.

JACK; You are really farsighted!! I agree with you, except I thnk eBay will contract with a big van or feight line to do this without having to fork out a huge outlay of cash.

Liquidation already does this. The difference is that rather than having their own company they use other existing shipping companies and add a surcharge. Problem is that with all of the international transactions there is no way to force a system wide shipping outlet and attempting to do so would result in a huge spike in off site transactions.
