hubby opened our mail today, and managed to slice a money order into 3 neatly divided pieces ... do you think the bank will let us just tape it together and deposit?

Call your bank and ask them before you do it.

We just had one come in with "white out" on it.Bank said, no they will not accept it.

only thing wrong with that idea is that you then go into your bank and face someone who doesn't "know' the person you talked with on the phone ..... [sort of like the postal workers who know and implement whatever rules THEY are familiar with]

I would think that if you tape it together, just like a ripped dollar bill passes through if taped, it should go ok, i'm hoping. ..........

Why don't you buy something, like a magazine subscription from a pesky telemarketer, where they offer you a payment option of three equal monthly installments?
