About 3 weeks ago I had someone stiff me on a Motorcycle sale.
Took over 2 weeks to recoup 1/2 my money!

Now I had someone use BIN to purchase a 4 wheeler, and here it is 3 days later and have heard nothing from the buyer.

It was a customer pickup only, located in N.J.
The buyer is from CA.

I am selling this for the neighbor boy, and he can't aford $40.00 listing fees for nothing.
And I have to wait over 2 weeks again to reoup the sale fees!

Plus the kid was excited he was able to sell his bike, now I have to tell him it was a sick ass joke!

It's getting: Real Old, Real Quick!

I'm with you. I had a recent vehicle auction myself. Buyer said because he was outbid (only temporarily though, the higher bidder unethically retracted), he said he was no longer obligated to purchase the car. Also, people leaving seemingly malicious negative feedback without first trying to resolve the situation. Like you said, it's getting old quick.

In your case I do hope you filed NPB & FVF.
Your Deadbeat will get the credit he deserves.
Plus it will be 1 more nail in his Ebay Coffin!
And don't leave feedback on this jerk unless he does first, Then nail him good!

This is why it's important to file NPB & FVF!

Pain in the a$$ though, I still have to wait to get my $$$$ back!

I wish all sellers did NPB, FVF and Negative Feedback. I saw someone with over 3000 positives with 100%. In the last month they received over 120 feedbacks. I cannot imagine having such good luck for so long with so many buyers. I am guessing they are not filing NPB, FVF and leaving Negs. In fact, I went to see if they ever negged anyone, and they hadn't. It amazes me how many sellers don't leave feedback to protect their rating. Sellers like that do nothing for the rest of the sellers beyond extend the life of deadbeats. The rating system means practically NOTHING once you're over 50 or so. It just shows people have disagreements, misunderstandings, and most common... a retaliatory demeanor. Most negatives by bidders are given because they were negged for not paying. Most negs given by sellers are because the bidders haven't paid. I would estimate that 95% of the negatives are for non-payment.

I know ebay thinks they are running a fair system, however, it is against policy for a seller to file for FVF if we received money. We can be suspended for filing a false FVF claim. I believe that ebay should allow the seller to also leave negative along with the FVF without fear of retaliation by not allowing a bidder to place feedback after a FVF has been requested.

Have to agree!
Post office bent a package (I used photo mailers with two heavy-duty pieces of cardboard) and customer immediately left a neg. She was a newbie, of course.

My terms for all my sales: 100% refund if unhappy with your purchase for any reason. What is up with her.

I had already left her positive as I do for all customers after they pay.

Only my second negative.

I only have three negatives.

1. The buyer bought several bars of soap and only wanted to pay the postage on one. Postage was clearly stated in the auction.

2. "Sorry, have to back out. No money."

3. Buyer just didn't like the figurine. Good, clear professional picture in the auction. Exact size was listed. She left the neg, then asked me for a refund.

Lately, about 30% of my buyers have not paid. I'm really getting discouraged.

rusty,,,,I mentioned this MANY times and many times Directly to e bay when I WAS a POWERSELLER......NPB's have NO rights to post any,,,,,feed backs....

gtootie,I noticed your reference of Buyers,,,,,Yeah, that reference of BIDDERS left my vocabulary a looooooong time ago,,,,these people are in fact, Buyers. They bought and the are ,hahahahaha, legally bound to pay, at least that's what E bay says. hahahahahah, back it up E bay. till then,,,buyers. Some pay and some NEVER will.

Ever notice how e bay Used to say you are the WINNER!,,,,blah, blah,,,,Now it says you have agreed to purchase. there is No winning anything on e bay, someone else simply says I am willing to pay more.
