I have a hotmail account that I use for various things. Many of the messages I've been receiving for the past week have been delayed. I thought it was odd, so tried sending myself emails from other account. Most made it through, but almost all were delayed (some delayed several hours; others delayed more than a day). Not sure what's going on, but I'm finding hotmail to be more & more unreliable. I'm not complaining - it's a free service and I don't rely on it - but it does make our lives more difficult when hotmail is down and we can't contact our customers using their service.
Sorry I don't have any more information. Just wanted to confirm that I've also been experiencing some hotmail difficulties.

Yes, I am having problems also. I just use Hotmail as a backup if I get problems with my regular server, but I am having the same "delayed" notices, and sometimes, when I check for emails, it's not even going through on Hotmail.

The past month I have had many many hotmail emails that have had viruses. I can't even begin to count them. Sometimes 4 - 8 a day. I wonder what is going on with them. Funny part of it is that the email address they are sending to is the one I use for my second seller on eBay. I use that for nothing else. I haven't used it since December. I don't recognize any of the addresses. My isp has my virus protection and when I get an email with a virus my isp sends me an email with the senders email address and what virus they have. I received no other information.

No one should be using Hotmail for time sensitive or real-life applications as it's pretty insecure and attracts spam like flies to s*it.
Send a message to your other party through eBay's message system in the hope they get it.
The other big problem we sellers all face is beating the spam filters
