I found this today at a garage sale.....There is a small coin glued on the rear that says "Mueasum copy, hand made in Greece" This is HEAVY and made of....well, I cant tell. It kinda sounds like steel if you tap a fingernail on it. Its about a foot tall.....

Where do I put this and what kind of title would I use

Thanks!!

This could be a garden piece. Or a decoration from a gate going into someone ones yard. Greek yard decoration. Did you look around to see what other pieces that were in the same sale? That is about what comes to mind when I see this head.

I can tell you that is the head of Medusa. From the open mouth I would say it could have been part of a fountain.

from the expression, looks like some chick who found her main squeeze in bed with another chick-no wonder she has snakes coming out of her hair

I dont know what its made of.....Its heavier than pottery, it must be some kind of iron. It has a small piece of thin rope for hanging also.....

There's got to be a Troy tie-in there SOME how!
LOL
Or...
My Big Fat Greek Garden Ornament!

I don't think it's a fountain, though you could make one, these day's it's easy with fish tank pumps.

Finally a plug: read the Stanley Lombardo translation instead of seeing the Summer Blockheadbuster version of Men in Skirts...coming to a theatre near you...ack.

...ummm, a magnet will tell you if it's iron or not. A scratch on the back where it can't be seen will tell you if it's metal of any kind. I vote for plastistone, resin and concrete mix, that'll ring like heavy metal.
