Hello... I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with the type of glazing or firing methods used on Asian potteries or porcelains?

Please take a look at the teapot I listed yesterday and let me know if there is something I could say about the unusual surface applied to this pot.

there is no handle and the spout is short,are you sure this is a teapot??

Hi,

I'd probably describe the glaze as pebbled.

Looks like it originally had a bail handle.

Not old. Contemporary.

The handle was one of those woven/wired jobbies and has gone missing.

This teapot is worthless. without a handle, it's not even good for use as a teapot.

Edited to add:

The infuser (that conical-shape pierced thing) is a clue. An antique teapot wouldn't have one.
