I would appreciate input from those of you who have eBay stores please.
Is it worth it?
Do you sell more items there than on the regular auctions?
eBay is offering free listing for 30 days, I am wondering if it's worth a try.
Can you list your eBay stores through Vendio? I put up to 12 pictures on my auctions, so it's too expensive to list directly through eBay.

Yes, you can list your store items through Vendio. I had an eBay store, but closed it. I wasn't getting the traffic. However, from what little I've read they've made it easier to find your store items in a search. I guess it depends on what you sell.

I have an eBay store and it does well. It has picked up especially since eBay started including stores in searches. And I work really hard to drive people to my store - I have a link to it in all my emails, as well as on all my auction pages.

My advice on an eBay store - do gallery photos on store items, and just be patient

If you are part time, small time or an occassional seller it is NOT worth it. Not for $9.95 a month

If you have a product line or are a high volume or bulk lister then it is ESSENTIAL!

If you have more than 200+ items running at any given moment it is ESSENTIAL!

Your Ebay store above all else is a personal search engine on the ebay.com website.

NOONE is going to sit and BROWSE page after page of your listings. If you have an Ebay store you can sort all of your items by category (now up to 19 or more)

I personally have a product line with multiple quantities of everything.

So if you want to see what I got in Cherry Flavor are you gonna browse my 32 pages? Hell no! and neither would I. You'd click my Ebay store and type "Cherry"

I agree with Love Potions. I have had a store for over a year and at first sales were very slow but now they constitute at least 1/3 of my sales.

Sometimes I feel like someone at ebay turns a faucet on and off..no sales and then suddenly lots of them.

I decided to try being a "featured seller" ( $50/month) but I have to say that so far I have seen NO CHANGE in sales..."featured Sellers" are supposed to be listed on the bottom left side of the pages where they have items listed but that doesn't seem to be happening.

In the category where I have most of my listings, I do not appear at the bottom of the search page http://collectibles.listings.ebay.com/Postcards_US-State-Town-Views_W0QQfromZR11QQsacategoryZ20193QQsocmdZListingItemListQQsocolumnlayoutZ3QQsocustoverrideZ1 yet it looks like none of the stores listed there are featured sellers(if the purple highlight on the "see all stores" indicates Featured Sellershttp://collectibles.stores.ebay.com/Postcards_US-State-Town-Views_W0QQcatZ20193QQtZlw. I have written PS support about this and they have referred it to Ebay Stores but so far I have not received a response. So.......... my advice is to save your $40 and just go for a regular store unless seeing your name in purple sends chills down your spine!

I really appreciate the unput. I think it would be worth trying it for 30 days, and see if it works for me. Just hope that this 60 something lady can set it all up correctly!

neglus,
We are often in the left side column. I do not pay $50 a month. I believe they do that on quanity in your store that matches with the search. That number in ( ) is the number of matches in your store. Hope that helps, cramer

No - that isn't it. I have 2700 items in the category US VIEW and the first listed store has only 1700 and the others have less than that. I believe they rotate stores in there but I never seem to be in the rotation! It was my understanding that "Featured Stores" would always appear in that spot in the categories where they have listings...but if the purple highlight indicates "Featured Stores", then none of those appearing are "featured"...

I am a small seller and don't post much, and sometimes its just hard trying to keep enough inventory for the Flea Market. I think a Vendio Store is ideal for a lot of the items you want to offer but not put on E-Bay. I does really well at Christmas also.

My eBay store was almost 60% of my $ volume of eBay sales last month - and is at 50% for the year... its a great tool IF you do the work necessary to make it work.
