Sounds fishy. Looks like a scam to get your PayPal bank account number so they can drain it!

why dont you ask how she exceeds her limit with western union ??
why dont you ask her if her son is single, tall dark and handsome and you dont mind flying to philippines to deliver the money??
why dont you two have high tea together first at russian tea room, nyc and get to know each other better??

It's a scam but has nothing to do with trying to get your information.

Thanks to people respondinf to spoof emails you sender has gained access to a paypal and an ebay account.. They will gladly send you someone oelses money in exchange for you wiring money to them. Of course the money sent to you will be taken back when the actual card holder reports the fraud.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

High tea?

Have you ever even BEEN to the Russian Tea Room?

They serve Russian food. You know, blinis, borscht (ah...borscht), chicken Kiev, etc.

High tea is an English meal usually partaken of around 6 pm, featuring hearty foods like potted shrimp, kippers, Welsh rarebit, etc.

Sorry for the interruption, junebug. Now I've got a serious craving for borscht and the only Russian restaurant around here went out of business years ago.

when i was in nyc,i worked next to a broadway show place and they were playing tango argentino and i could have just gone and watched after work, but i did not.
so many things i wish i have done when i was in nyc.

It sounds to me that it is a takeoff on the Nigerian scam. Must say its pretty cute. Why don't you have her send you a USPS money order? With that there is no recoursem\, she can't stop payment, etc.

Ah! The Russian Tea Room,NYC,that is where we celebrated our first anniversary in 1969. Unfortunately they closed their doors I believe last year.

Russian "Tea" in the Russian Tea Room as I recall was your choice of over 100 flavored vodkas.

A photographer my company worked with had his offices right next door and took a couple of us there for Christmas one year.

I believe I lost my taste buds after about the 8th or 9th flavor on the list.

I do remember that the food was glorious and the atmosphere thick with the smell of expensive cigars.
