OK, I posted this on the Vendio Services board... but still can't figure it out.

I'm hoping someone here is more computer savvy than I and can be of some assistance.

When trying to create a new listing using Vendio Sales Manager, no categories are showing up in the drop down box -- it says loading categories, and appears to spend several seconds loading them, but they never show up. I've emptied my cache (a couple of times) and cold booted my machine (a couple of times), and even restored my machine to a date when I KNOW my settings were allowing the categories to show up.

Anyone interested can read more about it on the Vendio Services board....

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out with this.

Hi,
Must be a temporary "glitch"! I've had the same problem today. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

I wonder if you're being patient enough to wait for the categories to show up? It takes about a minute, sometimes more, for that to happen for me when I first begin listing auctions. I do a lot of them at one sitting, and the slowness never happens with the rest of them.

If you're just listing one item, then closing your computer or the Vendio location, that will happen for you every time.

The other option is to use the "stand alone - Sales Manager Pro" version. It's much faster anyway.

Another option may be to "relaunch" a closed auction in the same category and edit it to fit your new auction changing everything but the category...if you use the category often you might want to keep a "dummy" in "Pending" with no launch date scheduled. I always create auctions from "pending" to avoid the category delay issues.

neglus,

You can't relist a closed auction that has had category changes. They "error" out, and since the categories do not display, the auction can not be relisted no matter how many times you "refresh" the screen. I even tried creating a new auction & there are NO categories there at all. So, the workaround for me is to look at SMPro & get the category numbers to type in for the relists. Any new auctions, I enter in SMPro anyway. I have also posted this in the Vendio board.

Vendio needs to investigate this & not just to tell us to delete our temp files & refresh.

Local - I'll take your word for it about relisting items with cat changes - thankfully I haven't been in that situation. I actually created dummy blank listings and keep them in "pending" for most of my categories so I don't have to select categories when listing (because of the delay in the category tree through Vendio). I then "copy" the dummy and create the listing from the copy.

If I use that category often and write it down so I have the number. Then instead of going thru the process, I just write in the number and the category comes up and I go from there.

Go to Vendio, service & pictures, This a glitch since eBay has updated & changed categories. Vendio is working on brining it up todate.

Been trying all day just go it to work.

Try this it just worked for me!

Go to the Cat page, click on tools,Inernet options, deleat files...now disable your virus program and your firewall, then click on refresh!

Worked like a charm, I then Enabled:Virus & firewall before I did anything else.
