I just noticed this when I was checking my PayPal. Probably won't be much of a problem for US users but will affect those overseas.
The PayPal site will be taken down for maintenance tonight. The site will be unavailable from 12:00 AM PDT to 3:00 AM PDT. Thank you for your patience.

For the UK that is 8-11am - Not a traditionally busy payment attempt time any.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
Thanks for the info. I guess I don't scroll all the way down to the bottom often enough! Duhhh...
I did just have a UK bidder who had terrible trouble sending his payment but I suspect it's because his ISP was down. His emails to me were coming through but mine to him weren't. I kept getting Mailer-Daemon.
