I always thought that eBay fed store information to Google but it seems that store owners have to be proactive and submit URL's to search engines themselves! You can do this by clicking on the "about Google" link at the bottom of the search page. I did it and lo and behold my ebay store got to page 1 when I put the right words in the search. Here's hoping a lot of buyers use the "right words"!

How long ago did you submit that you're at #1 already? I submitted my website 3 months ago and I still don't even show up in a search when I search the title of my website

You shouldn't have to submit your site. Google's spiders get the eBay stores.

FluffyTheWonderStore is right there at the top.

Anyone using Google Adwords with their Ebay Store?

I don't use google adwords and I come up in the search anyway (for my ebay store - my website doesn't and I have submitted the same words for both). I tried Ebays keyword banner ads because they gave me $75.00 for free to try it out. 3 days later my money was spent. They said I had a lot of click throughs (400 or something like that) and I think my sales may have increased a little, but definately not $75.00 worth. Since then I have been turned off by any pay-per-click rates.

Yikes, no. Not until the right six numbers come up in the lottery. And probably not even then.

I refuse to pay for clicks. I'll pay for sales, but I've done a bunch of these free-advertising trials and let me tell you, the results are dismal.

Funny how no one does advertising where you pay for it on a per-sale basis. Ever wonder why?

It's the equivalent of hiring a field sales rep and paying him a salary whether or not he ever generates any sales.

I was using adwords for my non-ebay website.
It was a money losing proposition.

I just updated my new website - give me your feedback on it.

Hi,

eBay has the option where they biuld an XML Data File for your store which you can submit to various Search Engines like Froogle etc. This option comes when you edit your store.

Also using correct keyword density in your store description as well as in your item listings goes a long way in boosting up your search ranking.

If you do not show up in google even after submitting, then you should resubmit your site. As a thumb rule, try submitting every after 2 weeks till you show up in google.

Try sumitting to 18 Search Engines for FREE.
