To day was the end of my moving, cleaning up my eBay room and disposing of my extra inventory in a garage sale. Over $600.00 to put in my bank account. Only one mention of eBay and that was a gentleman looking for fishing items and he says he does buy some on eBay otherwise there was no mention of that at all. Not everything was sold but then the rest goes to the goodwill for a tax deduction. Now I can rest. I did stop at one sale on my way to my favorite thrift store and bought a Dooney & Burke Purse for $5.00. This one is for me. BTW we had 72 degree weather with no rain. Thank goodness.

What and how did everyone else do this past weekend.

Libra-I am glad everything went well for you. I just did the same thing this weekend. I just sold my condo and am staying at my moms for about a month while we wait to close on the house we are buying. Because I sell jewelry my buisness is completly portable and I have only been down for about 2 days. Got rid of alot of my personal junk to goodwill. It just eats me paying $350 a month for storage.

Wow Junebug where do you live that it costs that much. Seems a little steep to me as around here I think it is about $60.00 a month.

I forgot to say one thing there was nothing over $10.00 in my sale and I think I had two priced at that. Most all was a dollar or under. Of course I didn't make a profit on some things i.e. I collected perfune bottles and sold them in bulk. I did save a few for eBay but other than that most Items were $1.00 or less. I love it when I can give bargins especially to the young teenagers who are just starting out as they seem to be so innocent. Then they grow up and they are not.

Libra

Congrats! You must live in the NE? I'm in Ohio and it was about 72 and dry today as well. In fact, we've had so much rain my backyard tree is dropping yellow leaves and my grass is becoming as thread bare as my living room rug!

S.E.Wisconsin. Some fields with corn are looking like lakes. It was unbelievable and I sure hope it is over. I think we have had our quota for a couple of years. It was either Flood Watch or tornado watch for two weeks.
We had very high winds but no tornado's in our area. Iowa was really hit but then there is no protection around there like we have with Lake Michigan. The storms were terrible. Thanks goodness the sun was out yesterday and today so we could get this rummage out of the way. I am starting a new resolution. I list one week if something doesn't sell the second listing it goes in a box entitled goodwill. When that box gets full out it goes. I will try my darndest to have no clutter. Let's see how long that lasts.

Cheryl,

I live in Ohio as well and you're right - I didn't think we had a sun anymore - all I've seen the last few weeks is dark clouds. How are you doing with the cicadas? We've been deluged. You go outside and it's like WW2 over Dresden Germany. They're everywhere. YUCK!!! I HATE BUGS!!!

We haven't had any cicadas. I'm not sure why that is unless they are late coming out here. I did find some shells of some sort when we dug out a patio yesterday. Maybe all the rain drowned them? LOL! I'm hoping the heat of the next couple of days will dry out the lawn. It's supposed to be 90 on Tuesday! Quite warm for this time of year. We usually only get that in August. I'm in the Cleveland area.

capolady and cheryl, i too live in ohio, just east of columbus. we haven't had any cicadas either but columbus is awash with them (no pun intended). when watching the memorial tournament on tv you can hear the cicadas. i guess they are driving the golfers crazy.

someone told me there is a line where the cicadas won't be north of that line and i am darn happy that we are just north of it. we had a lot of them last year though.

I had my annual Overstock sell this weekend. I garage sale once a year and I made $4056.00 this time. YIPPPEEEE....saved me a bunch of work on the computer and people travel from all over to stock up on our shoes. I had many regulars return. This is our third year doing this and the best sale I've had.
Maybe we'll have to do this twice a year....

edited for spelling....
