Dear ralphie ... I didn\'t need you to help me sniff out a plate with running rabbits and frogs around the rim ... I found one all by myself, at an estate auction on Tuesday of this week ...
I daydreamed about getting it for $40 or maybe 60 dollars at the auction, and knew I could turn it around on ebay for a couple hundred or more, and maybe have a little party ... well, geezowheez, the proud (?) new owner of it bid to $400 dollars ... doh! Guess he didn\'t know he could have gotten it cheaper on ebay. LOL

LadyJ: Ralphie forgot the name of the company & the plates are unmarked!
He does state that the RABBIT design sponge ware was quite the craze in Philadelphia back in the 1890s, & each item sold for about 10cents!
NOW adays, folks collect these & are willing to pay BIG DOG-BONES for them as we learned here about 6 mos ago!
I thought they were junk & almost sold them "2-for-$10"
But, on a Ralphie-hunch, I posted pics here and some kind soul (can't remember) recognized them as spongers & I sold the pair (1 bunny/1 plain ole sponger) for $450.00, proving the immense value of all the really terrific & dog-gone just plain generous helpful folks with VD!

Yes, someone here identified them as "Stick spatter" ware ... plug those words into ebay search for now and completed auctions ... they DO get big bucks!
