I cannot believe someone contacted the winning bidder of a Reagan "America Reagan Country" campaign poster from 1980 and told the winning bidder it was a reprint from the Reagan library that can be purchased for $20!
I'm selling these for my mother-in-law. She probably hasn't been out of the state since Reagan was sworn in the first time!
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
According to my bidder, his name is Adam.
Thanks for letting me vent..

This is auction interference. Ask the bidder to forward the email to eBay and report it.

Hi TerryAnn,
You can also send your bidder's email letting you know about the other guy's notice to eBay in the "auction interference" section just in case the bidder doesn't want to do it.
I had a buyer some time back with started writing to bidders on my other auctions and I did this quite successfully.
Good luck!

I had the same thing happen to me a while back when I was selling a vintage clock.
The guy emailed me and the buyer to say it was a fake! He got my buyer all upset.
So, I turned this guy over to eBay and they took care of him.
It all turned out great and my buyer was very happy with his purchase!

Hello again everyone!
My buyer sent the following email-
TerryAnn,
My read is that this person probably had the right intentions and wasn't trying to screw up the auction so much as keep someone who was a Reagan fan from gettin ripped off. They may have not also understood why anyone would pay extra for an original when new reprints are available for $20.
In any case your 100% satisfaction ranking and quick response gave me the most confidence.
Thanks,
Dan
I feel better!
Thanks again everyone!!

Estate...Very good question. The only way I can think of is to get on the bid history page and keep refreshing as the auction ends. At about 5 seconds from the end, take a screen shot of the page with all bidders' email addresses showing, as they will disappear when the auction ends. If anyone has an easier method, I would sure like to hear it.

Anyone can contact any other ebay bidder..if you click to see their feedback there is a link to "contact member"...you don't have to be involved in a transaction with them.

I think the best way is to click on number of bids after the auction and it will display all the bidders. Then click on the FB of the bidder and it will take you to their FB page - on the top right you'll find a contact member box - then you're there.
