I remember in the past, that there is a site somewhere that has links to all the funny auctions on ebay. Here & there some of the wonderful contributors would post a link.

Lately, I haven't seen any. It is a necessary component to relax after a day's work.

If you know it, please post it.

Thanks!

Be sure to follow the link in it to her:
"barbie*wuvs*kitties Me page"!

Hilarious!

Try this one, lots & lots of funny eBay auctions here.

You might want to look to the left to click on Chicken Hat.

Also scroll down the middle to see
Stinky the Conch Shell Pelican, an old one, but one of my favorites.

Mcjane,

LOL!

gives a whole new meaning to "d**khead"
and I don't mean "duckhead", should you all think I mean something like the "chicken hat".

twig,

I just went and looked. Good for a few laughs too! I like the fact that they are wacky enough to keep me reading and interested all the way to the end.

Regarding the Barbie auction -- What a fantastic marketing idea! When I sat there reading it, I was wondering was someone would go through so much work for such a small auction. And then when I looked at what else she sells, I realized at how genius of an idea it is! If she has 31,000 hits to that one action, I wonder how many more hits she is bringing to her other auctions? I would love to see her numbers before she launches one of the Barbie auctions and then see what happens with her other auctions afterwards.

Diane - I just had what might be a completely nutty thought...

You crochet - how about a crochet lady Barbie? Does it take a horrible huge long time to make one of those dresses? Not for her to wear - to show partially finished, maybe on a headless Barbie mannequin with the remains of the thread all draggled down on the floor. Can you make her cross-eyed?

Barbies are all over the place, I think you could get one for a couple of bucks at almost any discount store. You could have her at her computer with little balls of crochet thread all over the place. Maybe a cat tangled up in some thread... Some mini-booklets scattered here and there.

Of course Barbie would need to be wearing a snood.

Or have I just been dippin' in the Two-Buck too much?

Lucy -- Believe it or not, I do have snood crochet patterns! Cute idea, but I just don't have the time to work something like that up. I still don't even have a logo yet. But I do love to look at those listings with such original ideas. I just think that she's done a fantastic marketing job with her barbie theme.

Thanks to all!

I was out of town, and did not have a chance to check this tread till now.

Now, I'll have real work - going through all these auctions.

Hi TableTop,

Welcome back! Hope your trip was enjoyable.

Didn't mean to highjack your thread into a crochet lady Barbie discussion...

BUT - BUT - a thought jumps into my brain - it's gotta get out! LOL!
