(CNN) -- Internet researchers were still scratching their heads Friday over an attack that targeted some of the most popular sites on the Web with a trojan virus that exploits flaws in Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser.

Time to run your Norton Anti-Virus update...

I've done it a couple of times in the last few days and there are always updates.

Also Windows update.

Yep, It's real easy to get lazy about it unless you have it scheduled to run, or your software auto updates (which I think most do now) or at least they remind you to update. Ebay sellers have so much more than just casual users to lose, if their computer tanks.

And if this one's got CNN stymied and their a huge network.....well, scary....

Lucy, I had the greatest estate sale day ever today!! I've never made it to that quadruple state long one (or whatever they call that one) but this was one helz of sale! A woman who was a dealer and collector passed on and it was - omg, huge! The house was filled wall to wall, two garages...you wouldnt have believed it! Overwhelming, really...for a small town.
Then at a few different points it started to pour down raining, but the people running the sale were just wonderful to everyone!! It was incredible!! (Boy, tell ya now I know why they are blessed they way they are.)

well, okay, gonna go marvel at my treasures! lol@

... Shame to miss this though... seems something is a crackl'ng on here today .... :-0 I havent read thru all the threads, but does anybody else think thats a appro impression? or just me? ha!

Good for you! I hit a good one a few weeks ago. Still working on getting the pics ready.

But not a problem because I'm not listing anything until late August. Last year my sell-through dropped from about 85% to maybe 15% the end of May. I'll be ready this time, though. I've bought about 100 items on eBay to resell. A new category for me.

So what did you buy?

Lucy

Hi Lucy, sorry not to get back with you right away ..went off line last night.

I bought ..... a cute howard holt figurine, some spode china plates, mucho snoopy collectables, some great collector books for myself...some old kids books..,some different pieces of art I've been getting into lately....

Really got alot more than ever I needed or will probably sell but I thoroughly enjoyed myself!! lol!!

I'm with you on the curbing selling for the summer. (Although for some reason I've done okay for me - probably just a rash of luck.) But I will list what I think might get bought no matter what. From what I've seen on ebay - only summer stuff is doing really good. One seller I happened on is doing bathing suits seems to be cleaning up with bids - made me think maybe I should find a wholesaler for a box of em, - but collectables and whatnots look somewhat more sporadic than the rest of the year.

Gosh, I envy you guys getting out to these sales! Unfortunately, I haven't the time. Last weekend, my company did one of the art festivals. This weekend we've got the Scottish games today and a bike trip tomorrow. Next weekend, I'm marching in three parades: one on Sat., one on Sun. and one on Mon. Plus we're having a party on Sat. and going to one on Sun. We're still trying to fit vacation in somewhere. This is one reason I'm glad for the change of seasons around here. I need the winter to rest up for the summer! LOL!

Nice finds, neroter!

Thanks, Cheryl. like I said, I just had so much fun looking through everything, seeing what people bought (one lady bought this giant giraffe wicker plant holder...lol!) Reminded me of that new commercial for cars.com where a guy is listing a lime green hatchback, and the wife sez, why are you wasting your time - nobody is going to buy that? And then they show this guy totally obessesed with lime green everything in his house all green, eagerly phoning to ask if its been sold yet? lol.

Cheryl sounds like you've got a full schedule coming up!! Have a good time!!
I used to love going to the Art festivals down here! So much creative stuff! And its just good to get out and off this computer.

Hi,

Sounds like quite a haul!

Yes, looking through the stuff is a lot of the fun. I volunteer at a thrift shop and it's amazing what comes in there. Especially the estate things.

Cheryl, that's one very busy schedule! When do you find time to eat, sleep, etc?

Lucy

Good idea, Lucy. Maybe I will find a thrift shop to volunteer at.
On another thread, Sanmar suggested I update (I have XP) with the icon at the bottom and with Norton to scan and update, I should be OK with Int. Explorer.
