I've looked high and low through the reference books I have and still can not find this pattern. Believe them to be elegant depression era?
Would appreciate any help!

The pattern is similar to a couple of Fostoria patterns.

They are clear crystal 7 1/4" high. Glass top is beveled. 3 7/8" in diameter at top.

Thanks in advance!

Hi iceicepenguin

I think these may be Cambridge Glass in the Diane pattern, 1934 - early 1950's.

Kiara's got it, and the shape is 3122.

Thanks kiara and max!

Yes, I compared it to some on Ebay and it matches exactly.

Better find than I thought. Seem to be selling nicely...I think I list them as a set of six and see where they go.

Thanks to you two, my description will now be thorough and professional.

Your help is most appreciated!!!

Gotta love this board.

Hope I can return the favor some time.

You're more than welcome. As far as I'm concerned that's what this board is all about--people helping people.
Besides, some of us need a challenge once in a while. LOL

You're welcome, iceicepenguin. Good luck with your auction and they should sell well for you as some of the completed auctions don't have very good pics at all.

About the challenge, Max..... I always find threads like this remind me to use all those books I purchased for years and I appreciate them all over again each time I take them out.

BTW, you are by far the best glass expert on this board as you have knowledge of such a wide range of it.

Thanks Kiara, can you see me blushing? Actually, I too have a large investment in books. They take the place of actual knowledge.LOL

Wow! I sure missed that one by a mile. I had it pegged as Early American Dixiecup, circa 1934. Guess I'll have to listen to my wife and start wearing my glasses when I go through those reference books.

I agree with the rest of you. This board is a wonderful place for answers to questions.

The knowledge here is unbelievable. No matter what the subject, someone knows about it and doesn't mind sharing their expertise.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me in the past. I do try to help when I can. Just wish I knew more...

Lucy

A word of warning to all you experts: I have about 7 serving pieces, glassware, that I know nothing about and will be posting here in future for your expert opinions. Save some of your brain cells, please!

Hello All,

Well, thanks to your help the glasses are now up and running - 3732904172 (just in case you'd like to take a peek!)

Hello Adele. Saw your post on the Vendio board about your troubles with someone giving you some problems. I hope that things are better now.

I also have a bunch of books - but I think I might need a book to help me use all the other books! LOL Sometimes I reference and then cross reference and cross reference the cross reference until all I end up is cross-eyed and more confused than when I started!

Hi, Penguin: Thanks for asking about my problem. I have a second account now, as fool-proof as I can make it for anyone searching--different TOS, different auction layout, different IDs, etc. I'll sell the old stuff I get here in town on that second site so as not to make the stalker absolutely crrrrrazy thinking it's all family stuff. It took me about 5 hours to get all the sites straightened out with the new account--Vendio, PayPal, Ebay, etc. What a nightmare.

Roadsmith, it's a bit of extra work (and lots of signing in and out) to sell on different accounts but at times it can be fun to experiment also. If you have two identical items you can try selling one item under each account just to see if low feedback makes a difference over higher feedback or if one style of listing is better than another. I’ve done it with different china patterns. Sometimes I sell things that I think are a bit too “tacky” for my good account so I’ll put them on another one.

I started different accounts because someone near me started copying the style of my auctions or they listed whatever I was listing and I had one snoopy relative and felt like I was being constantly followed so it was a nice free feeling to be anonymous again.

One night I was in a hurry to get my auctions written and launched and then realized that I was doing them on the wrong Vendio account by mistake and had to do it all again, including uploading all the pics so remember not to do that.

Thanks, Kiara. I think this stalking thing has to happen to you personally before you understand the creepy feeling of being followed or stalked. Very scary. My advice to anyone starting out is to keep your EBay user name TO YOURSELF as much as possible. I suppose that would mean not sending an auction you're especially proud of to people. Hmmm.
