Tonight I get an email letting me know that an auction I won was cancelled. The only problem is that I won it in May, paid for but never received the item. I was just about to contact Pay Pal since the seller never answered my email.

I get an email from the seller tonight letting me know that they will be shipping the item on Monday. No mention of them being kicked off Ebay.

The seller has been on Ebay since 1999 but lately pissed off a lot of people. One person claimed they received some toilet paper with feces after they complained to Pay Pal.

Since Ebay has washed their hands of this seller I wonder if Pay Pal will refund my money if the item doesn't show up in the next week?

Since I don't do Paypal, I'm not that familiar with their rules. But I think you have 30 days from auction end to file a charge back. If that is the case, you are getting close to the limit where he can walk free with your money. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I would file for an immediate chargeback if he is NARU. If he has already shipped, you can pay him again when you receive the item. Sounds like he is stalling for time so he can avoid the chargeback.

When did you pay for the item? The exact date is what I am wondering?

In the beginning of the OPs thread, it sounds as if just the auction was cancelled. I've had it happen to me and it could be for a number of reasons. It could have been a VeRO violation, keywork spamming, etc.

When you get to the middle, it sounds like the seller was NARUd. I'm confused now.

how can ebay cancel an auction which has ended??
paypal does more than ebay auctions,so it does not matter if ebay cancels the auction or the seller is naru'd,you can still file complaint with paypal within 30 days after you made your payment.
If it is still within 30 days, you can file complaint with paypal now and force the seller to submit online trackable dc.

I agree with sparkz. To risky too wait. Do a chargeback if the stuff arrives you can resubmit payment. Do you have a dog? If so let the dog sniff incoming mail. If they are excited there's either food or kaka inside. Dogs like the smell of both!

stop

eBay ended an auction of mine that had already ended! Fortunately, I had the bidder's email address and was able to complete the deal. It was a stretch of a VeRO violation. And when I say "stretch", I mean stretch.

Edited to add: Actually, what was funny (ha, ha funny) about that was the auction ran all the way through and sold. They refunded all of my fees and I sold the item anyway. eBay bit off it's own nose on that one.

Classicrock: No pun WAS intended but I love that you caught that. I had to stare at my sentence for a while, then say it outloud to get the "pun."

I have two days left to file a claim with Pay Pal. Below is the email Ebay sent me.

******************************************
Please be advised that the following
auction:

- Avon Mark Instant Vacation Hair
& Body Bronzing Oil ~

was ended early by eBay. The auction was
ended due to the account suspension of the
seller.
All results for this auction are null and
void.

We are talking about $6 plus shipping. I hope the seller does comes through. I wonder if Ebay will let them back on if they ship the items to the winning bidders.

The one thing that does bother me is the seller did not email once after I made the payment. After three weeks with no item, I finally emailed them. No reply. When I finally did get her email yesterday, there was no explaination why she didn't ship the item.

FILE FOR REFUND NOW. YOU AREN'T GOING TO GET YOUR ITEM AND SHOULD HAVE NEVER SENT PAYMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE. YOU ALSO COULD BE IN TROUBLE. IF THE PARASITE LOSER EMPTIED THEIR ACCOUNT, YOU MIGHT NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

GOOD LUCK
