Yep, 5 years today. Where did the time go?
97% of the people I have dealt with have been great and have met a lot of buyers who still keep in touch.
Anyway, anybody know anything about Zeiss Diadem binoculars. I picked these up at auction. They have mother-of-pearl at both ends, also brass and black. Am sure they are opera glasses. Come with case. The mother of pearl on one side is rough as if it has been exposed to salt water. The brass is a bit tarnished. Should I clean them up before listing? There is brass trim on the case which also is tarnished. I'll get a pic and put on if I can remember how. Help!

All I can help with is posting a pic here.
Upload pic to your host. ~Please make it small enough that it does not spill off the right side of our screens when displayed or the thread becomes too wide to read easily.~
Right click on pic at host site, then pick "properties". Copy URL (web address of the pic) and paste between the below, leaving out the asterisks and extra spaces.

Paste entire thing into your text here.
Links you want clickable are made the same way, but use the below, again eliminating the asterisks and extra spaces:

Zeiss was once the Rolls Royce of lense makers. If they were mine I would sell them as is. Some folks like the patina of old brass others do not. I'd let the new owner make that choice. I have no idea of value, I did bid on a some opera glasses sometime back. High bid was around 80-90 bucks.

Thanks alldings - I am wondering if the brass is actually gold - am going to take it to the jeweler I know and let him check them out. They are opera glasses for sure.
