Just got a "question from seller" e mail. There was a clickable box in the e mail, it said If I chose to, my answer would go right to my auction for ALL to see......instead of just back to to the asker......hmmm,,,,this sounds like FUN! O.k. So I do it,,,,,hmmm, it comes right around again and says I have ANOTHER question,,,,same exact words? Hmm, o.k. do it again.......Now I excititly RUN to that auction in anticipation of SEEING my reply,,,,,,,,nothing? nada? zip?

Well, back to the drawing boards on that one e bay. BUT,,,,,,,,,,,Now if it had been from one of those NON reading $%^&^.....like say,,,,what color is it? is it pink?

OOOOO,,,wringing my hands,,,,,NO I just said pink for the hell of it,,,,did you actually READ anything??????? it says that right in the description!!!!!

hahahahah, all these REAL responses from sellers will be right in the auction,,,wonderful.....how much is shipping to 94567? crap I have no idea,,do you have a real address,,,like even a STATE that would give me a clue in a moments notice of where you might be? ZIP code,,,,,,,it's a number,,,,,Gee,,,, it immediately brings to mind,,,tall buildings,,,,,forest Green,,,sand for miles,,,,,corn fields abounding,,,,,Flowing rivers,,,hot summer night,,,,freezing cold winters,,,,,,Disneyland,,,,,wheat fields,,,,Gives me a great split second idea where these how much is shipping 94563 people are.....

ebay,,,LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!!!!!

Yes you can pick up this "item". hahahahaha, Item,,,,this item weighs around 300 pounds.....item.....what idiot at e bay was given the power to make that a word on e bay,,,,,piano,,,,refrigerator,,,,,stove,,,,gumby bear makes ALOT more sense than,,,ITEM! I wun yer item.....out of thousands of items I and WE are ALL selling,,,ITEM let's me know exactly what item I just sold.....

I was wondering if you could give me just a little more information about you ITEM.

Sure no problem but just which ITEM would that be?

Are you 100% sure those two emails came from Ebay's servers? Check the headers and make sure. I got two solicitations to buy a cellphone today and at first glance, I thought they were "ask seller a question" emails.

Nope not a spoof thang. I know those cell phone ones. This was a real buyer wanting to know if pick up was O.k. And then,,,,,Well,,I am STILL waiting to see a BID on this monster. Why do they ask questions? (are they just very lonely people with nothing better to do?)You give them the answer they want to hear and then,,,they don't bid. Go figure. All week last week on another big "item".....Can we pick it up? YES! Please do so.....it ended with NO bids,,,,,My next door neighbor bought the item....He just loves his new item,,I am happy, he is happy, with his item,,,,this sounds like something you float in the bathtub,,item.......look at my new item i bought today,,,,anyone any o' you know ever heard that from anyone,,,wife to hubby,,,did you see my new item? How do you like my new item....

Did you see your new item sitting in the driveway?

What item would you like for dinner?

I'd really love to have an item, item, item on two pieces of items toasted of course. And please please, don't forget the item sauce of course we ALL know what that one very important item is,,,comes on ALL items like this. without it it just wouldn't be the same item.

In the REAL world it's called a BLT on rye......toasted, with mayo....lettuce and a juicy item tomatoe...and crispy item bacon....

Here's the ebay announcement about this:

***Coming Soon: Enhancements to Ask Seller a Question & Contact eBay Member***
Date: 06/29/04 Time: 05:32:37 PM PDT

In the next few weeks, we will be introducing enhancements to the Ask Seller a Question and Contact eBay Member functionality.
Enhancements to the existing functionality will include:

Sellers will have the option to display answers to frequently asked questions (for example, questions on their shipping policies) on the item page.
The email subject will now include information regarding the type of question, item number, and item title.
Questions for items ending within 6 hours will be automatically flagged with high importance in a seller’s inbox.
Sellers will have the option to hide their email address for privacy reasons in their email response.

At least you can still click the reply to button on your e-mail and use it just like it worked in the past.
